ACADEMICS
Neuchâtel Junior College was founded in 1956 with the unique concept of bringing young North American students to Europe for a year of study, travel and immersive cultural exploration at a pivotal time in their lives – the pre-university year.
Neuchâtel Junior College offers the exceptional opportunity to study Canadian curriculum in Switzerland. Students take Ontario grade 12 courses in their final year of high school or gap year with an international focus earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. NJC students experience small class sizes and a supportive environment during their pre-university program of study. NJC offers an experience that is completely transformative for students. They have opportunities to explore not only the world around them and their own interests but also a chance to learn more about themselves.
Canadian students who attend school outside of Ontario, as well as students from outside of Canada have their credits earned to date used as equivalencies toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. To find out more, contact a member of the admissions team at admissions@neuchatel.org.
Guidance and University Application Process
Neuchâtel Junior College offers dedicated guidance and university application support initiated in the spring before students attend with course selection advice and followed by one-on-one consultations and group meetings while at NJC.
The Director of University Guidance provides careful, personalized attention to the needs of each individual student to ensure every student reaches their goals.
A pre-university, academically rigorous life experience allows students to stand out on university applications. The Ontario Secondary School Diploma courses are prerequisites for Canadian, US and international university admission.
Graduates of NJC are admitted to some of the most prestigious and competitive universities and programs worldwide. For more information, please contact admissions@neuchatel.org.
